Loop Magazine began in Sydney in February 2007 in partnership with What Media (publishers/sponsors) and Rouge Media (content providers). As a free, Indie street publication with a bi-monthly print circulation of 10,000 it quickly spread throughout the Sydney CBD, surrounding eastern, northern, inner and outer Western suburbs at outlets including Record & Music stores, Hotels, Bars, Bookstores, Cafes, Galleries, Theatres, Cinemas, Libraries, Radio stations and educational institutions (including UTS, SAE and Sydney College of the Arts).

In February 2009 L O O P directors moved to Newcastle and through the Renew Newcastle project initiated by Marcus Westbury Loop Magazine became Loop Space. Damian and Solange converted the old Fletcher Jones building at 109 Hunter St into a Sound & Digital Media artspace and from early 2009 to July 2010 exhibited 59 artists in 8 exhibitions with approximately 1,690 visitors frequenting the space.
